EXCEED is a medical micro needling device with all the industry approvals you require: • FDA approved as a class 2 medical device • TGA approved as a class 2b medical device (ARTG: 315425) • Medsafe listed in New Zealand • CE and ISO certifications.

Exceed VS other devices:

  • The exceed needling device is a medically approved device.

Powered with a cord, many needling devices on the market are handheld/cordless devices. While that sounds good, cordless devices power can fade giving you an inconsistent speed

  • Sterile, disposable needle cartridges with safety membrane to prevent backflow of liquids & to ensure no risk of contamination to the handpiece.

  • Equipped with a tilting needle plate that adapts to the surface of the skin to ensure perpendicular needle penetration & minimal epidermal trauma.

  •  6 x 32-gauge needles in each cartridge

  • Adjustable needle depth and speed

  •  German technology & engineering

  • Needle precision - exclusive & patented microneedle cartridges

  • Almost anywhere! It’s perfect for Stretch marks, Surgical scars, Skin grafts, Acne scarring on your back.

What's the difference between Epidermal VS Dermal needling?

Different skin conditions can be treated at different depths.

Conditions such light pigmentation, pores and fine lines can be treated epidermally, up to .8 mm approx. If you are looking for scar improvement, deeper lines, collagen/elastin and hyaluronic production then we treat dermally >.8 mm - 1.5mm deep approx. Treatment areas for this depth are usually targeted areas.

Why do you need to prep your skin for needling?

Skin preparation is THE most important part of the process! Skin Needling creates a healing cascade in your skin and makes it produce loads of brand-new skin cells.

We need to prepare your skin so it’s the healthiest it can be, so when we ask it to kick to action your skin is strong and healthy and produces brand new bright and healthy daughter cells!

If unprepared skin is needled your skin will have a limited response and the new cells produced will only be a repeat of your current skin.

What does prep involve?

Prescription of Dermaviduals home care and teamwork!

Your prescription may include.

Cleanser

Tonic or lotion

Bespoke serum

Mask containing vitamins A, C and E

Base Cream

SPF

Internal support with quality Omega 3 supplement. Let’s support your body to create juicy new cells!

The teamwork part is essential, we work together!

Why don’t I needle in actives?

Flooding your skin with active ingredients may cause an adverse response in your skin, commonly seen as inflammation and facial granulomas, granulomas are simply your skin wrapping up infection & foreign bodies to protect itself, forming lumps.

There is also no scientific evidence that this benefits cell production. Your skin is already prepared and healthy and is receiving all the vitamins it needs with dermaviduals wondering delivery system.

Can I do multiple treatments in the one visit, such as skin peel and needling?

No sorry. I am a practicing Corneotherapist, that means everything I do is about protecting the epidermis.

Multiple treatments can cause trauma to the epidermis, producing heat & inflammation and may trigger melanocytes to produce pigmentation.

Skin needling causes no damage to surrounding epidermal tissue and the needle channels close within 8 hours of treatment.

What does CIT feel like? Does it hurt?

For most people skin needling is not painful, there may be some slight discomfort at times, I work with you to minimise this.

Some options are to reduce needle depth or count you through tricky spots. You are always in complete control.

What to expect during & post-treatment.

When you arrive for your treatment I will ask you to fill in a comprehensive consultation form, you may also complete this in the days prior.

Your treatment room is set out with all your sterile equipment and products required for your treatment.

Your luxurious bed linens are all ready for you, you can even choose what type or music you would like played, or maybe a podcast?

Your treatment includes, 3 cleanses, lotion p application and a wash to sterilize your skin. The needling process will then take place and i will talk you through it all. This generally takes approx. 25 mins.

Your skin may feel warm at this stage.

Your skin is then wiped with sterile saline solution and a cool and sterile epi nouvelle cellulose mask is applied to your skin for approx. 15 mins.

An application of Oleogel is then applied to hydrate, calm and protect.

All done.

After Care and the following 3 days

That night at home you should gently cleanse with gentle cleansing milk and reapply Oleogel.

Day 2

You may cleanse and apply Oleogel and SPF.

Please stay out of the sun and excessive exercise the following day.

The following day some people may experience mild redness or inflammation.

Its handy to have an extra epi nouvelle mask in the fridge for just such an occasion.

You can also a cool compress, gently press into your skin.

If you have a histamine response, chat to you pharmacist about some solutions. All symptoms should subside in the following 24hrs.

Day 3

You may start to re-introduce your standard skin program.

Your skin may feel dry, this is your old skin cells coming off as new fresh cells rise up. Avoid picking or exfoliating your skin.

If you have had the full face, neck and dec treatment you will come in for a complimentary enzyme and led treatment from day 4-6.

Continue with your homecare program and internal support as your skin is now in a healing and then proliferation phase and is super busy making all those delicious new cells and collagen strands! Let’s feed and protect them!
